With the school recess, many fathers and mothers are worried, not knowing what to do for their children’s holidays. This is because, despite the children not having classes, those responsible continue with their daily tasks, such as work.
Thus, various insecurities arise, such as leaving the child out of the house, with unhealthy forms of leisure, or seeing the child spend the day on social networks or in front of the television. Another problem is that activities for children are often expensive and inaccessible.
In addition, it is essential that, even during the holidays, children continue to learn. That’s because every day stimulating children’s development will help them become better adults. Therefore, it is necessary to invest in activities that are in the interest of children, but without ceasing to be instigating and favorable to development.
Therefore, we separate some activity tips for the July holidays. Check out:
To create championships, first gather the children and divide them into teams, with at least four teams. Then choose a sport that is fun for everyone. It can be shuttlecock, football or dodgeball, for example.
It is also important to establish some rules and go over the norms of the chosen game. If the kids aren’t into sports, how about an arts competition? Each participant can reinterpret a famous painting or make a self-portrait. In the end, just vote for the one you liked the most. It’s just not worth voting for yourself.
Holidays are an ideal time to use play as a way to teach children about their own culture. To do this, propose backyard games that have been part of several generations, such as steal the flag, run agouti, hopscotch, sack race or master sent.
Don’t forget to tell stories of what it was like when you were a child and ask what the children thought of the games. In addition to fun, it will be a way to exchange knowledge.
A good book can make the child entertained, distracted, expand vocabulary, improve understanding and bring more knowledge of the world. A good idea is to take a walk in a library so that she can choose what she wants to read.
Another tip is to get the kids together to read together. You can even have a picnic where, after reading, the children tell the stories while tasting delicacies.
Watching a movie is a form of leisure. For this, you do not need to go to the cinema. You can see several feature and short films on streaming platforms and even for free on the internet.
After the end of the film, stimulate the conversation about the story, what the child liked and how he would do his work.
Between the 17th and 21st of July, the Ramacrisna Institute opens its doors for a summer camp. In all, 150 children will be able to participate in the activities, 75 in the morning and 75 in the afternoon.
In addition to the aforementioned activities, the program also features conversation circles, paintball, knowledge games, mini robotics workshops, capoeira classes and even a parade. All this for free and monitored by Ramacrisna professionals.
The summer camp is aimed at children from families living in socially vulnerable situations in Betim. Get in touch and have more information.
It is not just during vacations that the Institute works to transform lives.
