Benefits of chess

Chess activity plays a very important role in preparing for the future. This is because learning and playing the game represent not only an option for leisure and sport, but also a way to awaken fundamental skills in the development of children and young people. Among them, for example, stimulating attention, concentration, fostering logical reasoning, creating strategies to propose innovative solutions, initiative for decision-making and persistence.

In addition, chess also helps to promote patience and respect towards the opponent, as well as being a great exercise for memory.

More than that, chess reinforces the sense of responsibility and improves the self-esteem of the little ones. The game also increases the child’s ability to predict or observe something in advance, helping with deduction and decision making.

Educational robotics activities

In addition to chess, the project also offers educational robotics activities for students. In classes, children and teenagers can invent, program, assemble and move the little robot. The activity helps to exercise logical thinking, in addition to promoting notions of programming and technology.

More than that: the activity allows the student to perceive the importance of collaborative work, data sharing and to be able to more easily assimilate school content, through interdisciplinarity.

In this way, the Chackmate Project seeks to provide students with access to Educational Sports, practiced in the best education systems and in unsystematic forms of education. Thus, preventing lower-income young people from being excluded from the market due to lack of opportunity. The purpose is to achieve the integral development of the individual and their training for the exercise of citizenship and leisure.
