More than 200,000 services were provided in 2024, impacting more than 34,000 people in situations of social vulnerability
The year 2024 was marked by growth and social impact for the Ramacrisna Institute. With a significant increase in the number of services provided, the institution reaffirmed its commitment to inclusion, education and professional qualification. Check out the main results and achievements:
Ramacrisna recorded 207,546 visits, an impressive 96% growth compared to 2023, offering sports, cultural activities, professional qualification and complementary education to 34,366 people. In addition, it offered 2,860,166 nutritious, quality meals at the Popular Restaurants in Betim, the Regional Hospital, the Maternal and Child Center, the Guanabara UPA and the Teresópolis UPA in partnership with Betim City Hall. These results reinforce the impact of the actions promoted throughout the year.
The Viva o Esporte project, for example, benefited 5,866 participants, with 70,991 sports activities, an increase of 8% on the previous year. Meanwhile, the CASA Project reached 11,079 participants in art, culture and sports activities, totaling 101,869 visits, which mobilized the entire city of Betim.
At CAER (Centro de Apoio Educacional Ramacrisna – Ramacrisna Educational Support Center), 224 children and teenagers took part in sports and cultural activities, computer classes and school tutoring. In addition, 27 computers were donated to the project’s students, increasing their access to technology and knowledge.
Chess and judo also shone in 2024. Chess had 124 participants, winning 44 first places in championships. In judo, 154 students took part, with 74 medals and 11 trophies won in local, state and national competitions.
At FabLab, 224 people took part in robotics and programming workshops, while the professional qualification courses catered for 966 students in 13 different disciplines. In addition, the Building the Future project, carried out with support from Petrobras, certified 430 participants in courses such as Hairdressing, Barbering, Eyebrow Design, among others, boosting communities and transforming lives.
The apprenticeship program impacted 643 young people hired as apprentices in 13 cities, an increase of 24% compared to 2023. Of these, 300 received psychological care through the “Se Cuida Joven” project, an increase of 253% compared to the previous year. In addition, 164 young people were hired by companies.
The Ramacrisna Philharmonic Orchestra gave 46 performances to an audience of over 18,000 people. And in the Library, there were 3,550 visits and 1,352 book loans.
In 2024, the Ramacrisna Institute had 1,255 employees, 59% of whom were women. A total of 1,390 hours of training were given to professionals, strengthening the team and increasing the impact of the projects.
Throughout the year, 14 companies signed partnerships with Ramacrisna, as well as Betim City Hall, which made a significant contribution to the results achieved. Together, these initiatives reinforce the importance of joining forces for a fairer and more equal society.
