Did you know that you can turn part of your income tax into social impact? Companies taxed on real profit can allocate up to 1% of the income tax due to the Fund for the Rights of Children and Adolescents (FDCA) until December 31, at no additional cost. This initiative allows resources to be directed to projects that change lives, aligning social responsibility with corporate values, directly impacting the lives of children and young people in situations of social vulnerability.
Why contribute?
Allocating part of your income tax is safe, does not interfere with other tax deductions and is regulated by the Internal Revenue Service, guaranteeing total security in the process. It’s a simple gesture that generates real benefits. “Trust your accountant and the process because it is regulated by the IRS and is very simple. It’s important that our society knows about this important tool for allocating resources through income tax,” says Daniela Marra, controller of the Ramacrisna Institute.
The Impact of Donations
The Ramacrisna Educational Support Center (CAER) is one of the projects benefiting from the Fund for the Rights of Children and Adolescents (FDCA) and has a Social Return on Investment (SROI) of 3.62. This means that every R$1.00 donated to the project turns into R$3.62 in benefits for the children it serves. Since 1992, CAER has helped more than 17,000 students aged between 6 and 13, offering comprehensive training workshops during the school day, as well as quality food, school supplies and clothing.
Initiatives like these transform lives like that of Gabriela Lopes, a student in the Ramacrisna Philharmonic Orchestra. Gabriela joined the project at the age of 8 and today, at 19, she is a member of the orchestra and a music student at UEMG. “I never imagined I’d be where I am today, studying at university, playing with renowned artists and touring the country. All this was only possible thanks to the project, which offers incredible support and opportunities,” Gabriela says with emotion.
With initiatives like CAER and the Orchestra, the Ramacrisna Institute reinforces its commitment to quality education, reducing inequalities and building a fairer and more promising future.

This year, donations will go to the “Meu Cordel” and “Isso é Coisa de Criança” projects, which encourage reading. The former stimulates creativity through poetic language and rhymes, while the latter distributes reading bags with children’s books to daycare centers in Betim. “Earmarking part of your income tax for funds like the FDCA is more than a fiscal responsibility strategy; it’s an act of citizenship. Companies that choose to invest in organizations like the Ramacrisna Institute are helping to change lives and strengthen communities,” says Solange Bottaro, vice-president of the Institute.
Why participate?
Companies that donate part of their taxes not only fulfill their social role, but also help to build a promising future. The partnership with the Ramacrisna Institute is proof that these donations generate transparent and effective results.
