Ramacrisna Educational Support Center

About the Project

The Ramacrisna Educational Support Center (CAER) was created in 1992 by the Ramacrisna Institute, with the aim of providing comprehensive education to socially vulnerable children and adolescents.

CAER provides free services to public school students after school hours, promoting activities that complement regular education and contribute to the educational, cultural, athletic, and social development of participants.

The project offers a wide variety of workshops, carefully planned to address different aspects of child and youth development:

School reinforcement and literacy: use of playful tools such as digital literacy tables and digital whiteboards to improve reading, writing, and mathematical reasoning. These technologies enable more interactive classes, helping children learn effectively and enjoyably.

Digital inclusion: educational computer classes in a fully equipped computer lab, where students develop digital skills and have guided access to the Internet.

Environmental education: integrated on an ongoing basis, the environmental education axis promotes the development of sustainable values and attitudes through classroom activities and contact with nature, educating citizens about the importance of conservation and the responsible use of natural resources.

Robotics and programming workshops: practical activities carried out at FabLab Ramacrisna that stimulate logical thinking, creativity, and teamwork through the construction and programming of small robots and technological projects.

Sports activities: sports such as futsal, soccer, peteca, volleyball, and judo, carried out in adequate infrastructure (court, grass field) to promote health, discipline, and team spirit. There are also chess classes, which exercise concentration and strategy.

Cultural workshops: currently include music classes, where participants develop artistic expression and musical sensitivity.

Reading and library: access to the Ramacrisna Library for guided reading and reading mediation activities, storytelling and retelling, stimulating the habit of reading and expanding the children’s cultural repertoire.
