Yamaha also joins the project, which will train motorcycle mechanics in Betim
The Ramacrisna Institute has just secured another valuable partnership, this time from the other side of the world. The Government of Japan will donate resources for the construction of a Motorcycle Mechanics School with a 200m area at its headquarters in Betim. The contract signing will take place next Friday, March 1st, during the opening of the 11th Festival of Japan in Minas, with the presence of the Honorary Consul of Japan in Belo Horizonte, Wilson Brumer, and the Consul-General of Japan in Rio de Janeiro, Takashi Manabe.
The partnership with the Government of Japan has a long history. In 2007, Ramacrisna received support for the construction of the automobile mechanics school, and in 2017, support came for the construction of the building where the Adolescent Apprentice project and the Industrial Robotics course currently take place.
Yamaha Brazil has also joined the project and will donate motorcycles as well as the necessary tools for student use during classes, in addition to providing training to teachers and installing a Yamaha box within the Motorcycle Mechanics School.
Classes are expected to begin in 2024, after the completion of the construction of the new building. “We are proud of this new partnership because the Government of Japan has strict criteria for directing investments, and our project meets all of them. The new motorcycle mechanics school will be another space where we can offer free, quality vocational training that will positively impact the lives of many people in the Metropolitan Region of BH. Here, they will be able to learn a new profession, much in demand in the market, earn an income, and rewrite their stories,” celebrates Solange Bottaro, Vice President of the Ramacrisna Institute.
The Ramacrisna Philharmonic Orchestra will also participate in the signing ceremony, performing the Japanese Anthem followed by the National Anthem of Brazil.
