New professionals: find out what the professions of the future are

The professions of the future are directly linked to technological advances. The Instituto Ramacrisna invests in projects to train qualified people for these new activities.

The job market is always changing. The way our parents worked is different from the way our generation works and this is no different for the future occupations of teenagers and young people. In these cases, the professions of the future are closely linked to technological advances.

To qualify future professionals and prepare them to meet the demands of companies, Instituto Ramacrisna invests in innovative projects. This is the case of FabLab, for example.

It is an innovation laboratory created to stimulate creativity and knowledge through practice, transforming ideas into reality. The initiative aims to promote the professional qualification of young people and adults and the digital inclusion of children and adolescents, elementary school students from public schools, through the learning of programming and basic and intermediate knowledge in technology. With this, Ramacrisna wants to take inclusion, innovation and cutting-edge technology across regional, social and economic boundaries..

Learn more about the professions of the future and how Ramacrisna projects contribute to the trajectory of children and young people.

What are the professions of the future?

The coordinator of FabLab Ramacrisna, Fábio Marques, explains that professions of the future are those that make use of technological resources such as:

  • 3D printing technician – professional responsible for taking care of the entire manufacturing process of parts, from the preparation of printing trays in a digital environment, through printing, to the execution of post-processing tasks;
  • software developer – professional responsible for programming systems by writing digital codes, producing programs and applications for computers, cell phones and other machinesas;
  • specialist analyst in Digital Marketing – takes care of a brand’s digital presence, promoting campaigns, helping to increase the company’s relevance and favoring conversions and sales.

All these professionals require advanced knowledge, which is not available in many places, as with more traditional careers. Therefore, investing in the training of young people for these areas is not only providing good opportunities for them, but also ensuring good professionals within companies.

How to train these professionals?

Therefore, Ramacrisna recently opened an exclusive space for training and digital inclusion. With 500m², FabLab Ramacrisna has the most modern and advanced technology, with tools and materials for the rapid production of objects through prototyping..

In the space, students can enjoy six 3D printers, five virtual reality glasses and a CNC Laser Cut Router, 18 tablets, computers and eight lego kits for the practice of Educational Robotics. These equipments will enable the opening of new professional courses, totally free of charge and with high demand in the market.

Fábio explains that FabLab opens new doors for adolescents and young people in social vulnerability who live in the region. “The space encourages maker learning, stimulating innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship among students, where learning, playing, inventing are very welcome actions, where students idealize and design, in addition to having all the support for it,” he points out..

He also points out that, in addition to technological knowledge, FabLab provides the development of technical and emotional skills on how to work in a team and time management, for example..

“FabLab represents a unique opportunity for socially vulnerable students in our region to have access to new technological tools, which, many times, they would not have this opportunity, stimulating and inducing the insertion in the technological market that is in ample growth and are considered professions of the future”.
