Instituto Ramacrisna Awarded for the Third Time
For the third time in its history, Instituto Ramacrisna has been awarded by Criança Esperança. The selected project focuses on providing comprehensive support to children and adolescents, aiming to improve their academic performance and develop cultural, technological, and athletic skills. Through well-rounded assistance and encouragement of musical practice, the project helps these young people broaden their future prospects and fosters a healthy bond with education.
Among the activities included is the Ramacrisna Philharmonic Orchestra, where students learn and develop musically. In addition to music, the project features the Ramacrisna Educational Support Center (CAER). The initiative offers tutoring sessions essential for children and adolescents needing extra help with regular subjects. With this support, students gain more confidence to continue their studies and face academic challenges.
Another highlight of the project is the Ramacrisna FabLab, which serves as a space for learning and creativity in technology and innovation. Here, young people engage with educational robotics and other activities that stimulate logical thinking and creativity, skills essential for the current job market.
The entire Ramacrisna team celebrated the recognition by Criança Esperança. For Solange Bottaro, Ramacrisna’s vice president, this is a significant acknowledgment. “Being awarded by Criança Esperança is a recognition of the impact Ramacrisna has generated over the years. This project goes far beyond academic support, providing children and young people with a comprehensive education in art, culture, sports, and science,” she stated.
On the most recent Children’s Day, Rede Globo’s program “Altas Horas” brought an unforgettable moment for Instituto Ramacrisna. Members of the Ramacrisna Philharmonic Orchestra—Igor Rodrigues and Ana Clara Malaquias, alongside maestro Eliseu Barros—performed on the show’s stage. During the program, they received the announcement that Ramacrisna was once again awarded by Criança Esperança and will receive financial support in 2025 for this transformative initiative.
The young musicians’ participation in “Altas Horas” marked a milestone in their lives and musical careers. Ana Clara, a violinist, described the experience as “one of the most emotional moments” in her journey. “Ramacrisna gave me everything to achieve this dream. I never imagined that my dedication to music would take me this far,” she said. Meanwhile, Igor shared how important this encouragement was to him. “Playing on national television was unforgettable, and the support of maestro Eliseu and the Institute was essential for me to be there,” he declared.
Maestro Eliseu Barros, who leads the Orchestra, expressed his pride in seeing the young musicians on stage. “Watching talents like Ana and Igor grow is proof that our work is not just about music; it’s also about believing in and investing in young people’s potential.”
Moreover, participation in “Altas Horas” reinforces the importance of a donation culture, essential for the continuation of initiatives like this one. Thanks to the positive impact generated by Criança Esperança, Instituto Ramacrisna continues to transform lives and inspire young people to reach their fullest potential.
“The support from Criança Esperança will be of great importance to strengthen and enhance the educational, sports, technological, and cultural actions that the Institute develops, making it possible to expand resources and create an even more engaging and effective learning experience, thus contributing to the social transformation that Ramacrisna strives for,” says Luciana Leite, Ramacrisna’s project analyst.
