Ramacrisna Institute Initiates International Partnership with French Institution

The Passerelle France Brazil Association has been facilitating cooperation between the two countries for seven years

The Ramacrisna Institute has taken another important step in its journey of global connections. A partnership established between the Institute and the Passerelle France Brazil Association will enable the exchange of experiences and strengthen ties between the two countries.

The first exchange students arrived at the Institute – located in Betim, on October 6, and will stay for two months. Anna França Sosso and Lourine Bordeaux, both holding a Master’s in Marketing and Strategy and an MSc in Luxury Management and Innovation, respectively, will work in the Institute’s communication and marketing departments, contributing to the strengthening of visibility and promotion strategies for the social projects.

This new partnership highlights the Ramacrisna Institute’s commitment to promoting intercultural exchanges and expanding its international reach. Based in France, Passerelle France Brazil is an organization dedicated to cooperation between the two countries. For over seven years, it has been developing initiatives aimed at social inclusion and strengthening civil society organizations in Brazil. The association’s work covers various areas such as poverty alleviation, education, social action, sports, human rights, and sustainable development, with special attention to the cultural specificities of Afro-Brazilians and Indigenous peoples.

“This partnership is an incredible opportunity for us to broaden our perspectives and practices. The presence of Lourine and Anna here at Ramacrisna Institute will bring us new insights and allow us to share our experiences with a global view. Cultural exchange and mutual learning are essential for innovation and strengthening our social actions,” said Solange Bottaro, vice president of the Ramacrisna Institute.

The young women emphasized the importance of this partnership and their expectations for the period. “I had been planning to go to Brazil for a few months but wanted to give meaning to my trip and meet new people. When I learned about Ramacrisna’s projects, I felt drawn to them. I’m curious and love to learn from others. In France, I was working as an E-commerce manager. I decided to offer my digital marketing skills in a different context and for a social project,” Lourine shared.

“Being part of a cause that not only helps me explore and develop my communication skills but also has meaning for me and allows young people to grow has been a great experience. Since my arrival, I have been building connections with people every day, whether they are very young children or young people and staff!” Anna enthusiastically recounted.

The Passerelle France Brazil Association is also recognized for its commitment to promoting the training of social educators in topics related to combating digital illiteracy. With its project awarded “Best Citizen Initiative” by the National Assembly in Paris in 2022, the association reinforced its commitment to digital education as a tool for inclusion and social transformation, training educators to lead digital workshops that address the needs of vulnerable populations.

The cooperation project with the Ramacrisna Institute marks a new chapter in the history of both institutions, which share the goal of promoting social justice through education, sustainable development, and inclusion, enabling the exchange of knowledge and experiences that have the potential to positively impact both the local and international reality.
