Marlon Moura was in his first year of high school when he first stepped into a video production studio. There, he learned video editing and fell in love with the field. Today, at 25, he runs his own production company. Get to know his story.
Marlon was just 15 when, chatting with a school friend, he heard about Instituto Ramacrisna. His friend mentioned participating in a project where he learned audiovisual skills. Among the subjects taught was video editing, which already piqued the boy’s curiosity.
So, he decided to explore the project and enrolled in the audiovisual course. In addition to video editing classes, he learned photography, cinematography, and journalism—all for free. Since then, the project has grown, and Antenados has evolved from a school into a full-fledged video production studio.
Later, Marlon became an apprentice and worked at Antenados at 17. He became an instructor, teaching basic journalism and video editing in courses at the institution, and provided audiovisual services to Instituto Ramacrisna and other NGOs through Antenados Produtora.
His interest in audiovisuals began in early adolescence. Marlon loved cinema and spent hours watching related content, developing a passion for all things audiovisual.
“One thing that always fascinated me was video editing. I found it fascinating and was eager to learn. So when I had the opportunity to start learning, I realized I was truly meant for this and fell even more in love,” he emphasizes.
Today, Marlon owns his own production company focused on video editing for the digital market. His company serves content creators like YouTubers and info-product creators who sell their knowledge online. “We have five employees and have achieved the revenue I always dreamed of when I started my career. Knowing Ramacrisna and Antenados Produtora was a blessing for my life and career,” he declares.
For him, without the institute, he wouldn’t have reached this position. “Through the opportunities and career development encouragement I received from my peers at the institute, I learned a lot and had the chance to work alongside them, teaching other young people who, like me, sought knowledge. It was a very rewarding phase,” he says.
Although he has completed his journey with the institute, Marlon holds Ramacrisna dear and continues to be part of transforming other people’s lives. “Today, I maintain friendships with the instructors at Antenados Produtora, and whenever a young person who still has doubts about their professional path crosses my path, I refer them to the institute, recommending their vocational courses. Whenever I have the opportunity, I mention Ramacrisna—it’s where it all began,” he recounts.
