Social initiatives, food security, care for people, and institutional recognition reinforce the Institute’s social impact throughout 2025
The Ramacrisna Institute celebrates 67 years of social action, reaffirming its commitment to transforming lives through education, professional training, culture, sports, and social assistance. In 2025, the institution reached the milestone of 171,544 services provided, the result of continuous work and partnerships with public authorities and companies.
Throughout its history, the Ramacrisna Institute has established itself as a benchmark in social projects aimed at people in socially vulnerable situations in the Belo Horizonte Metropolitan Region, expanding opportunities and promoting social inclusion.
Of the total number of cases registered in 2025, 25,045 were handled directly by the Ramacrisna Institute, while 146,499 were handled in partnership with public authorities, strengthening the network and expanding the social reach of its actions.

In addition, the partnership resulted in 68,523 services provided in the Viva o Esporte Project in partnership with the Department of Sports. Meanwhile, in the CASA Project, there were 57,839 services provided.
At CAER (Ramacrisna Educational Support Center), 268 children and adolescents participated in sports and cultural activities, computer classes, and tutoring. In addition, 20 computers were donated to students in the project, expanding access to technology and knowledge.
Chess and judo also shone in 2025. Chess had 161 participants, winning 12 appearances in championships in six cities. As a result, students won 12 first places, 15 second places, and 12 third places.
Meanwhile, in judo, 194 students participated in 22 championships. In total, 132 medals and 13 trophies were won in local, state, and national competitions.
At FabLab, 221 children participated in Robotics Workshops. In addition, 98 students from nine classes were certified in technology courses.
Meanwhile, professional qualification courses served 888 students in 21 different modalities. In addition, the Building the Future project, carried out with the support of Petrobras, certified 328 participants in courses in the areas of beauty, management, and entrepreneurship. The initiative also included 1,226 participants in sports activities, boosting communities and transforming lives in Greater Belo Horizonte.
The apprenticeship program placed 770 young people as apprentices in companies in 10 cities in the Belo Horizonte Metropolitan Area, an increase of 20% compared to 2024. In addition, 164 young people were hired by the companies at the end of the period as apprentices.
In the cultural area, the Ramacrisna Philharmonic Orchestra had 50 musicians, performed 51 shows, and reached an estimated audience of over 25,000 people. Meanwhile, the Library had 3,308 visits and 1,751 books borrowed. The Reading Bag project donated 75 kits, benefiting 14,285 people.
Ramacrisna’s work is also strengthened by complementary initiatives that amplify its social and institutional impact. Produtora Antenados, for example, continues to contribute to practical training and the creation of opportunities, with 520 photo shoots, the production of 429 videos, and service to 31 clients throughout the year.
In the area of food security, Ramacrisna maintained its commitment to providing comprehensive care for the people it serves, serving 87,400 meals and 60,322 snacks within the institution.
Solidarity work also stood out through food donations. In 2025, 2,622 donations were received from partners, directly benefiting 10,488 people in socially vulnerable situations.
The Institute also reinforced its commitment to valuing people and the professional development of its teams. In total, there are 592 employees and 548 apprentices hired under the CLT regime. The institution maintains a predominantly female workforce, with 61% women and 39% men, in addition to continuously investing in internal training, totaling 729 hours of training for employees. Mental and social health care remains a priority. A total of 704 psychological consultations were provided to employees, 587 to adolescents and young people in the apprenticeship and orchestra programs, and 220 psychological consultations and 30 social consultations were provided to CAER students, totaling 1,511 psychological consultations and 30 social consultations.
With 67 years of experience, the Ramacrisna Institute is a national reference in social development, standing out for the innovation and effectiveness of its projects, which cover learning, professional training, culture, job and income generation, technology, sports, and leisure.
In 2025, it received the Social Impact Award from BrazilFoundation, which recognized 25 prominent Brazilian organizations for excellence, innovation, and leadership in social transformation. It was honored by the Global Humanitarian Award – India, an international recognition for its humanitarian work and social impact on a global scale. It is listed in Thedotgood ranking (2022 to 2025) and, for the 8th time, was recognized among the 100 Best NGOs in the country. Last year, it was considered a highlight of Minas Gerais in the state category of the award. A model of self-sustainability, Ramacrisna maintains a wire fence factory, whose revenue contributes about 40% of the institution’s basic expenses, ensuring greater autonomy and continuity of its social actions.
