The wrestling team wrapped up another day of competition at the Minas Gerais School Games (JEMG) in Pará de Minas with impressive results: 22 medals won and 12 spots secured for the national rounds. So far, the team has earned 15 gold, four silver, and three bronze medals.

The results from the matches also secured new qualifications for national competitions. Of the 12 spots earned, ten are for the Youth Games and two for the Brazilian School Games, expanding the athletes’ presence at major events on the national sports calendar.

For coach Caliton Silva, the results are cause for celebration and highlight the importance of the team’s hard work. “We are very happy with these achievements. Every medal and every spot secured for the national stages represent the result of our athletes’ effort and dedication. It’s a time to celebrate, but also to recognize all the work done so far,” Caliton emphasizes.

The results already achieved in Pará de Minas reinforce the team’s performance and guarantee the athletes new opportunities to represent Minas Gerais sports in national competitions.

The stage held in Pará de Minas brought together more than 4,000 students
