The first Belgo Cercas franchise in Belo Horizonte is located on Nossa Senhora do Carmo Avenue. The proceeds from the store’s sales will be used to maintain the Organization’s social projects which, in more than six decades, have already impacted the lives of almost 2 million people
Social impact businesses are booming. In 2021 alone, they had a growth of 21% in the country. Unlike traditional models, these businesses are driven by a great purpose: to change social reality. Following this trend, the Instituto Ramacrisna opens its newest self-sustainability project on September 29: the first Belgo Cercas franchise in Minas Gerais.
The enterprise combines social responsibility and the expertise of Ramacrisna, which 47 years ago started its first social business, aiming at its self-sustainability, the Ramacrisna Fences factory. The new Belgo Cercas store will direct all the financial results obtained from the franchise towards the maintenance of the Institute’s social projects. “This is our goal. Bringing resources for the maintenance of the entire social assistance structure of Ramacrisna, which, since 1959, has been working to transform the lives of children, young people and families and, above all, contribute to the perpetuity of the Institution”, extols the Marketing and Organization Relationship, Américo Amarante Neto.
For him, social impact businesses, such as the new Belgo Cercas franchise, tend to expand, as companies and organizations are aligned with the aim of reducing social inequalities, fighting poverty and improving the population’s quality of life. “It makes no sense to seek only profit. Social causes can no longer be ignored. Everyone wants a better, environmentally sustainable and socially responsible world.”.
Belgo Cercas
With a space of 180 m2, the new business is located at Nossa Senhora do Carmo Avenue, 1275, Sion, in Belo Horizonte. “It is a strategic point. In addition to all the crossing points for all people who enter Belo Horizonte for the large domains in Nova Lima Brumadinho, and also for a greater variety of products and other cities with great potential for purchase and demand for our products”, Octávio , franchise manager.
According to him, the store will offer several options of high quality products with the Belgo Cercas brand and the fences manufactured by Cercas Ramacrisna with Belgo raw materials. “We are setting up a modern and modern store, always thinking about practicality and practicality for the customer, providing a unique experience and urban, urban and differentiated solutions”,
Octávio is confident in the success of the new store, another partnership between Belgo Bekaert and Ramacrisna. “We are among the largest manufacturers of fences in Minas Gerais and this new moment, with the Belgo Cercas franchise, will be the consolidation of the entire history between the two organizations.
With presence in several Brazilian states, the Belgo Cercas franchise is backed by Belgo Bekaert, the Brazilian leader in the transformation of steel wires. “Bringing the franchise to Minas Gerais, having Ramacrisna as a partner, brings us expectations not only of good business, but also of strengthening the brand”, says the Business Manager of Belgo Bekaert, Julia Paranhos. Belgo Cercas is the only urban fencing franchise in the country.
Pioneering
The Instituto Ramacrisna stands out for its pioneering spirit and is an example of a successful social impact business. In 1975, in order to maintain its activities, which had been operating since 1969, it created the Fences factory. Last year, the company recorded a growth of 71%.
For Octávio Figueiredo, Ramacrisna Fences’ great differential lies in its purpose: to transform lives. “All the financial results obtained from the sale of the fences are transferred to Instituto Ramacrisna. Revenue covers around 40% of the institute’s basic expenses, which made the project a national reference for self-sustainability in the Third Sector”, he celebrates.
Instituto Ramacrisna
