Seu Jorge Performs with Ramacrisna Philharmonic Orchestra in Benefit Concert

Performance to Take Place at Grande Theatro Unimed/BH, Celebrating 65 Years of Instituto Ramacrisna

On October 22, Belo Horizonte will host an exciting concert that blends classical music with the boldness of one of Brazil’s most iconic artists, Seu Jorge. He will join the Ramacrisna Philharmonic Orchestra for a unique performance celebrating the 65th anniversary of Instituto Ramacrisna, the organization behind the orchestra.

The event will feature Seu Jorge’s greatest hits in special arrangements crafted for the occasion by conductor Eliseu Barros, leader of the Ramacrisna Philharmonic Orchestra. “Collaborating with Seu Jorge allowed us to create something truly unique, where classical and popular music meet in a symphony honoring 65 years of social impact. Each note has been carefully crafted to reflect the emotion and energy of this milestone, and I’m confident it will be an unforgettable moment for everyone in attendance,” explains Barros.

Solange Bottaro, vice president of Ramacrisna, sees the event as a way to thank everyone who has contributed to the organization’s success over its 65-year history. “Throughout this journey, many people and companies have been part of Ramacrisna’s story. The institute started as a small dream by journalist Arlindo Corrêa to change the lives of children in his community. Thanks to our partners, who embraced this vision, we have transformed the lives of over 2 million people. We couldn’t have reached this point without each and every one of them,” she says emotionally.

Named Brazilian Cultural Ambassador by the Ministry of Culture, Seu Jorge is a passionate advocate for social causes. Reflecting on his connection with Ramacrisna, he shared what audiences can expect from the concert: “I had a wonderful experience playing with them in Minas Gerais during the ‘As Cores do Clube da Esquina’ concert. The orchestra’s performance was impeccable, and the dedication of the young musicians during rehearsals was incredible. It was a divine, surprising experience. I’m thrilled to reunite with them and be part of their concert again, especially now with this special repertoire. It’s truly meaningful for me,” he said, visibly moved.

For Seu Jorge, projects like Ramacrisna are essential to transforming young lives. “Projects like this provide opportunities for discovering new talents, while inspiring young people to strive for a better life through music and professional development in the arts. It’s always rewarding for me to be part of events that support projects like this. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity and the privilege,” he concluded.

Tickets for the benefit concert are now available on Eventim, priced between R$40 (half-price) and R$100. All proceeds will go toward supporting Ramacrisna’s social projects.
