Ramacrisna Institute joins the program for the 2nd Betim Film Festival

Lovers of the seventh art have one more reason to celebrate in Betim. The Ramacrisna Institute will be one of the venues hosting part of the program for the 2nd Betim Film Festival, a free event that has been enlivening the city since October with a packed schedule of workshops, screenings, seminars, and cultural presentations. The initiative, conceived by filmmaker and journalist Elizabete Martins Campos, is carried out through Federal and State Laws for Cultural Incentives, with the purpose of strengthening the audiovisual sector and promoting access to culture.

Among the activities that will take place at the Institute is the workshop “Sound for Audiovisual,” scheduled for November 13 and 14, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at Ramacrisna (Rua São Paulo, 379, Santo Afonso – Betim). The activity will cover everything from audio capture to sound design and finalization, highlighting the essential role of this element in creating cinematic atmospheres and narratives. The workshop is aimed at professionals and interested parties aged 18 and over, including sound technicians and operators, microphone operators, musicians, DJs, and sound designers.

For the creator of the Exhibition, Elizabete Martins Campos, the presence of the Ramacrisna Institute in the program reinforces the importance of connecting different segments of society around culture. “We are dialoguing and inviting the various sectors of Betim to participate in discussions on strengthening the creative industry in Brazil. Ramacrisna is a key partner, as it combines technical training with social inclusion, educating the public and professionals through education and art,” says Elizabete.

With more than six decades of experience, the Ramacrisna Institute is one of the main references in education, culture, and social inclusion in Minas Gerais. Through its production company Vídeos Antenados, the Institute produces professional audiovisual content and also offers free audiovisual courses, democratizing access to technical training and encouraging young people to enter the creative market.

The Institute’s vice president, Solange Bottaro, celebrates the opportunity to be part of the Festival’s program and highlights the transformative role of cinema in human and professional development. “Audiovisual media is a powerful tool for expression and transformation. By hosting a workshop at the Film Festival and opening space for dialogue between institutions and cultural producers, Ramacrisna reaffirms its commitment to the development of culture in Betim and the appreciation of local talent,” says Solange.

The 2nd Betim Film Festival will hold its Film Exhibition between November 26 and 30, at Monte Carmo Shopping, screening 28 Brazilian and local productions, including short, medium, and feature films. The official opening will take place on November 25, at 5:30 p.m., with the seminar “Betim Creative Industry – Challenges and Possible Paths,” which will be accessible in Brazilian Sign Language.
