Children’s Day: The Importance of Social Actions for the Future of Youth

With educational activities and the revival of traditional games, activities shape more conscientious citizens.

Children’s Day helps reflect on the role of social actions for children in the development of future generations. This is because the Third Sector often provides educational and cultural activities for children, especially at this time of year.

Social actions for children help develop reading and learning. Furthermore, they work with playful experiences through games and educational activities that strengthen important skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, and discipline. These activities not only entertain but also stimulate creativity and curiosity, helping the child understand the world around them in a more structured and collaborative way.

Ramacrisna invests in social actions for children throughout the year. After all, when we offer children opportunities to learn, create, and explore, we are not only investing in their future but also planting the seeds for a generation better prepared to face challenges and build a better world.

Year-round activities

Many of Ramacrisna’s projects serve children from the surrounding community of the Institute. This is the case with the Ramacrisna Educational Support Center (CAER), which offers classes during school breaks for public school students. With playful activities and sports workshops, the project provides a safe option for children to spend their day while parents are at work.

Like CAER, other social actions for children at Ramacrisna play a crucial role in the development of these young minds. Through games and educational activities, the Institute creates a safe and nurturing environment where children can grow and learn healthily. These actions not only transform children’s present but also open doors to a more promising future, ensuring they become more conscientious and prepared citizens.

Social actions for Children’s Day

If throughout the year Ramacrisna commits to providing leisure and contributing to the emotional, social, and educational growth of children in the community, on Children’s Day it is no different. For this reason, the Institute has prepared a special schedule of activities during the week of October 14th. Thus, the celebration will have lots of fun and learning.

One of the special actions is the revival of old games, such as hopscotch and telephone game, for example. By bringing back traditional games, the Institute offers children a unique opportunity to disconnect from technology and engage in activities that encourage social interaction, creativity, and teamwork. These games promote healthy interaction and contribute to the development of motor and cognitive skills, as well as encourage the building of social bonds.

Institute partners also offered unique moments to students. Through the Mesa Brasil program from Sesc, students visited the Boi Vitório restaurant in Belo Horizonte, enjoying an afternoon full of games, gifts, and a special snack prepared exclusively for them. The Splendori restaurant in Betim also contributed to making Children’s Week even more special with a delicious lunch at their location.

Additionally, the Institute will distribute books to celebrate the date. This is an important action for children, as reading is a key element in the process of learning and emotional development. By receiving books, children are encouraged to enter the world of imagination, expanding their vocabulary, improving their concentration skills, and cultivating the habit of reading, which is essential for academic and personal success.
