Athletes from the Viva o Esporte Project (PVE), organized by the Ramacrisna Institute in partnership with the Betim City Government, achieved significant results at the Professor Leszek Antoni Szmuchrowski Track and Field Trophy, held last Saturday (27) at the UFMG Sports Training Center (CTE) in Belo Horizonte. The team won one gold medal, two silver medals, and one bronze medal.
The standout performer was Ana Julya Santos Aparecido, who secured the gold medal in the 800-meter dash in the girls’ under-14 category. She also won bronze in the high jump and was part of the runner-up team in the 5×60-meter relay, alongside Ana Morena, Elen Morena, Safira Rocha, and Lorena Martins.
Another excellent result came from João Vitor Vieira Pedro de Souza, who won the silver medal in the long jump in the boys’ under-14 category, reinforcing the team’s performance throughout the season.
For Nilson Amaral, technical coordinator of the Viva o Esporte Project, the results reflect the ongoing work carried out with the athletes. “Each competition represents an opportunity for learning and growth. The medals are the result of a process built on dedication, discipline, and technical guidance, showing that our athletes are evolving and gaining experience to take on ever-greater challenges,” he notes.
