The Ramacrisna Institute is hosting a conference on well-being, organizational culture, and the future of organizations in Belo Horizonte

As the first social organization in the Americas certified under the international FIB/GNH (Gross National Happiness) methodology, Ramacrisna is hosting a gathering for leaders who believe that impact begins with people

On June 23, in Belo Horizonte, the Ramacrisna Institute will host the gathering “When Well-being Becomes Strategy.” The event will bring together entrepreneurs, managers, HR professionals, experts, and representatives from various institutions to reflect on topics that are gaining prominence in corporate strategies, such as well-being, organizational culture, mental health, human development, and organizational sustainability.

In a landscape where companies and institutions worldwide are rethinking the relationship between results, organizational culture, and the quality of relationships, the event addresses a question that is increasingly prominent in the corporate world: how can we achieve sustainable results without losing sight of people?

The event will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Arnaldo Theater and will feature a lecture, a panel discussion, and a presentation on the international FIB/GNH (Gross National Happiness) methodology—created in the Kingdom of Bhutan and applied in organizations to assess well-being, governance, and human development. Participation is free, subject to prior registration.

The program will open with the lecture “Happiness, Inc. – Happy People, Better Companies,” led by Everton Lima, an expert in corporate happiness, human development, communication, and well-being in organizations. The presentation will address topics related to purpose, happiness at work, human relations, and the contemporary challenges faced by organizations in a lighthearted and humorous manner.

Next, the panel “People, Culture, and Growth: Pathways to Prosperous and Sustainable Businesses” will bring together experts in the fields of NR1, communication, social responsibility, mental health, and human relations in the workplace to discuss how human development, organizational culture, and well-being are impacting strategy, reputation, and institutional sustainability.

Gross National Happiness will also be a highlight

Another highlight of the program will be the presentation “GNH—Gross National Happiness: When Well-being Becomes an Indicator of the Future,” led by Pedro Lins. The session will present the fundamentals of the methodology—created in the Kingdom of Bhutan and internationally recognized for assessing aspects related to well-being, human development, governance, sustainability, and quality of life—and its practical application in organizations.

At the end of the event, the Ramakrishna Institute will officially receive the International GNH Certification—Gross National Happiness—awarded by the Kingdom of Bhutan. The certification recognizes organizations that participate in a structured assessment process based on dimensions such as quality of life, interpersonal relationships, governance, human development, and organizational well-being. With this recognition, Ramacrisna becomes the first social organization in the Americas to earn the certification.

For the president of the Ramacrisna Institute, Flávio Gomes, the event represents an opportunity to broaden the dialogue on topics that are transforming the way organizations relate to people. “Well-being is no longer a secondary issue; it has become a strategic element within organizations. We want to encourage reflection on how companies and institutions can generate sustainable results without losing sight of human development, mental health, and the quality of relationships. Prosperity is not built solely on economic growth. It also depends on the ability to create value for people, organizations, and communities,” he states.
