The show brings together big names in Minas Gerais music at Cine Theatro Brasil for a night of celebration, solidarity, and inclusion
On November 12, the stage of Cine Theatro Brasil will host the show “Clássicos de Minas” (Classics of Minas Gerais), a charity concert celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Ramacrisna Philharmonic Orchestra. Conducted by Eliseu Barros, the performance promises a unique experience, marked by the union of tradition, innovation, and solidarity.
More than a celebration, the concert is a collective gesture of love for culture and social transformation. The guest artists will participate voluntarily, waiving their fees for the benefit of the institution, and all proceeds from ticket sales will go toward maintaining the orchestra’s activities and other social projects of the Ramacrisna Institute. The event also reinforces the institution’s commitment to inclusion and accessibility, with a sign language interpreter and audio description so that more people can fully experience the excitement of the evening.
On stage, the Orchestra will share exclusive arrangements with renowned artists and the new generation of Minas Gerais music, including Ana Cristina, Bernardo do Espinhaço, Bloco de Belo, Laura Catarina, Malvina Lacerda, Marina Araújo, Patrícia Ahmaral, Renegado, Sérgio Pererê, and Trio Amaranto. The repertoire has been carefully chosen to reflect the diverse and vibrant identity of Minas Gerais, moving between the congado and traditional festivities, the legacy of Clube da Esquina, the energy of the carnival blocks of Belo Horizonte, and the power of rap, which gives voice to communities.
According to conductor Eliseu Barros, the name “Clássicos de Minas” is more than just a title: it is a tribute to the state that inspires and shapes the Orchestra’s trajectory. He explains that the concert was conceived to value the culture and artists of Minas Gerais, translating the soul of the hills and mountains into music. “Celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Ramacrisna Philharmonic Orchestra with this show is a gesture of gratitude and love for our roots. Even after four decades of career, this concert has a deeply emotional value for me, it reflects the solidarity that brought together artists, friends, and supporters of the Ramacrisna Institute—an invitation for everyone to witness how music can transform lives, build bridges, and project the best of who we are into the future,” says the conductor.
For Solange Bottaro, vice president of the Ramacrisna Institute, the concert represents the result of two decades of dedication and social impact. “Every note played by our orchestra carries stories of overcoming adversity and dreams come true. Seeing these young people on stage, alongside great artists from Minas Gerais, is living proof that music transforms. It is a celebration of what we have already achieved together and an invitation for more people to join us in this chain of solidarity and culture that has been changing realities for 20 years,” she points out.
About the Ramacrisna Philharmonic Orchestra
Created in 2005, the Ramacrisna Philharmonic Orchestra was born with the purpose of bringing classical and instrumental music to socially vulnerable children and young people in the community of Vianópolis, in Betim.
