The Ramacrisna Institute, a benchmark in education, culture, and social inclusion in Minas Gerais, won the Global Humanitarian Award, one of the most important international recognitions in the social field. The award was presented during the World Cultural Festival, a global event that celebrates love, unity, and shared humanity, as part of the celebrations of the centenary of the birth of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
The ceremony took place in India on October 31, the date reserved for Brazil during the festivities, which began on August 16 and will end on November 23, 2025. The 100-day event honors 100 countries and featured representatives from one institution from each of them. The Ramacrisna Institute was the only Brazilian representative to receive the recognition, granted by the Sri Madhusudan Sai Global Humanitarian Mission (SMSGHM), an organization that promotes the philosophy of “One World, One Family,” uniting initiatives that transform communities through love and service.
Representing the Institute at the ceremony were Vice President Solange Bottaro and Executive Director Américo Amarante, who traveled to India to receive the award on behalf of all Ramacrisna employees and partners.
“Receiving recognition of this magnitude was an immense honor and, at the same time, a great responsibility. Ramacrisna is the result of collective work, built with love and dedication over 66 years. This award belongs to every educator, student, partner, and supporter who believes in our purpose of transforming lives through education and solidarity,” said Solange Bottaro.
In her speech during the ceremony, Solange Bottaro paid tribute to the founder of the Institute, Arlindo Corrêa da Silva, and reaffirmed the commitment that guides every step of Ramacrisna: to educate, include, and transform.
