Ramacrisna is recognized among the best social organizations in Brazil by TheDotGood’s international ranking.

The Ramacrisna Institute has just achieved another important international recognition: in 2025, it was elected the 19th most influential social organization in Brazil in the ranking prepared by TheDotGood, one of the world’s leading references in social impact assessment.

Since 2022, Ramacrisna has been among the highest-ranked Brazilian organizations on the platform, reaffirming the consistency of its work in education, culture, citizenship, and social innovation. For Solange Bottaro, vice president of the Ramacrisna Institute, receiving this recognition shows that the work is on the right track. “Receiving this recognition from a global institution such as TheDotGood is an honor that moves and motivates us. It shows that we have managed to significantly impact lives and inspire other organizations in Brazil and around the world. This achievement belongs to our entire team, our partners, and, above all, the thousands of people who trust our work every day,” she points out.

TheDotGood: an international benchmark for impact and governance

Headquartered in Switzerland, TheDotGood has been monitoring the performance of thousands of civil society organizations around the world since 2012. Its ranking is a benchmark for philanthropists, social investors, and researchers, evaluating criteria such as governance, innovation, measurable impact, financial sustainability, networking, and transparency.

More than just listing NGOs, the platform introduced the concept of SGOs (Social Good Organizations) — social organizations that combine data intelligence, financial sustainability, technology, and a focus on results. Being ranked by TheDotGood is a seal of excellence and a clear sign that the organization is among the most relevant in the country in the impact sector.

A stronger Brazil in the impact ecosystem

The 2025 edition of the ranking reinforces the advancement of the Brazilian social impact ecosystem: the number of organizations listed rose from 50 to 75, showing that the country is home to more and more serious, innovative initiatives with measurable results. Currently, Brazil has more than 815,000 NGOs, according to data from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE). In this scenario, occupying 19th place nationally is a source of great pride for the entire Ramacrisna team, partners, and beneficiaries. “Among thousands of institutions in our country, we rank 19th among the best, surpassing 815,658 other Brazilian NGOs. It is an amazing number that shows the result of the work of a dedicated and engaged team that loves what it does and is always seeking to offer the best of itself for the benefit of our beneficiaries. This is a source of great pride for everyone,” says Solange.
