The Apprenticeship Law establishes that companies comply with a quota for hiring Young Apprentices, which is calculated according to the number of employees. However, not all of them have enough physical space to meet this demand. One solution to this problem is the Ramacrisna Institute’s music and audiovisual learning courses.
According to the law, establishments with more than seven employees, in any activity, are required to hire and enroll apprentices in apprenticeship courses, in a minimum percentage of 5% and a maximum of 15% of the functions that require professional training.

Understand how to fulfill the apprenticeship quota in your company and also invest in the musical education of young people with the help of Ramacrisna.
Many young people dream of pursuing a career in music, but due to the difficulties, many have to give up to look for a job. Many people join the Ramacrisna Institute through the Youth Orchestra and so that they can continue, the Institute has included music and audiovisual in the list of learning courses. The entire process was carried out with authorization from the Ministry of Economy and the Regional Superintendence of Labor.
The rules are the same as for other apprenticeship courses, the young person must be between 14 and 22 years old, attend school regularly, and fulfill a working day of 4 or 6 hours. It is still provided by law that this time of activity must include theoretical and practical activities.
Usually, the practical part is carried out at the company, but in the case of audiovisual and music, theory and practice courses, they are carried out at the Ramacrisna Institute. Theoretical and practical classes are taught by specialist professors of each category..
According to the project supervisor at Ramacrisna, Aline Fauez, the Young Apprentice course is also a pre-university entrance exam for many who dream of building a career in music. In addition to being an alternative for companies that do not have physical space to receive apprentices and that are able to meet the quota and invest in training these young people..
“In this way, it is possible to provide the basis for the young person to continue studying to make their dreams come true and still being paid for it. It’s what makes the father not withdraw his son from music, being a benefit to the company that is fulfilling its quota and still fulfilling a student’s dream”.
The project supervisor explains that music apprentices eventually perform at the companies they are hired by. This is an opportunity to show the work being developed by the apprentices from the presentations.
In addition to music, young people also find opportunities in audiovisual. Currently, seven teenagers are part of the team of apprentices at Antenados Production. They live in neighborhoods close to the Ramacrisna Institute and live daily with the art and technology involved in audiovisual.
Between practical classes and the production routine of the producer, these teenagers learn about techniques and tools for audio, video and photography. In addition, they learn about information technology, in the editing rooms.
The coordinator of the Producer, Tiago Abreu, highlights how apprenticeships can help young people’s professional lives. “They are very young teenagers, who are having a unique opportunity in life, which is to get to know the audiovisual world, which has a tendency to grow all over the world.”, he believes.
It is worth mentioning that, today, all the company’s employees started their professional lives as apprentices at Antenados. This marks the confidence in the program and the quality of knowledge of the students. “Today, he is a young apprentice and tomorrow he can become an employee. We really appreciate it”, concludes Tiago.
