Today, the factory team celebrates its success. In 2020, in the midst of the pandemic, there was a great growth in the volume produced: 40% compared to the previous year.
This was only possible thanks to the perception of market needs: with social distancing, the demand for wire mesh by individuals increased. Especially due to the greater demand for improvements in backyards and rural properties. As a result, the factory devoted greater production and sales effort to this portion.
The success is also due to the implementation of marketing campaigns, which include advertisements on Google’s searches.
In 2021, the scenario remains favorable thanks to this great work by Marketing and the efforts of the entire team. Thus, Telas Ramacrisna’s goal is to grow 32% this year.
It is also worth mentioning another number that indicates success, but that has nothing to do with the financial part: in 2020, there was no case of covid-19 at the factory.
At the beginning of the pandemic, the factory team experienced moments of insecurity. Like many other segments of commerce, it was not possible to identify the direction the business would take.
But you can’t stand still: the team looked for solutions to work and be able to reach the largest number of customers and make a difference in the market.
Without leaving protection aside, the professionals sought to improve techniques, new ways to reach clients and maximize results.
At first, the number of sales dropped. But, through a collective effort, the factory has achieved surprising growth numbers. For this, it was necessary to work by the commercial team, the sales sector, the production and the quality of the material.
“The name Telas Ramacrisna was also important, which is very respectful. And it’s up to our team to ensure the good maintenance of this name. The pandemic made us grow and made us improve in a very efficient way”, evaluates the factory manager, Octávio Figueiredo.
Telas Ramacrisna Factory has a fundamental role in generating employment in the community. Currently, there are 19 employees directly employed.
Octávio explains that the Institute is one of the largest employers in the region, and the factory is one of the sectors with the greatest representation in the number of employees.
“Directly, 19 families are benefited. And each one of them is impacted in a unique way, has its environment transformed”, he highlights. But there are also those who benefit indirectly.
This is the case of service providers that work in areas such as maintenance and logistical services. Thus, the importance of the Telas Ramacrisna for the community’s income generation is even greater..
But the factory’s main objective is to generate income for the maintenance of Ramacrisna. All profit is applied to the activities and maintenance of the institute.
Currently, the transfer to social activities reaches 28% of the factory’s revenues. This amount is responsible for covering between 35% and 40% of the basic expenses of Ramacrisna.
“We work, produce, sell, pay the costs, but all our profit is reverted to social action. So, we are transforming lives, giving the opportunity for young people to qualify, taking young people out of dangerous and risky situations that the street offers and new opportunities”, concludes Octávio.
