Partnership between Ramacrisna Institute and Betim City Hall benefits nearly 3 thousand residents per month
A new partnership between the Ramacrisna Institute and the Municipal Government of Betim is expanding access to leisure, sports, and professional development for children, youth, and adults. The “CASA Project” (Culture, Social Assistance, and Sports Activities), which was launched in November 2023, gains momentum in 2024 and is now open for registrations for various free activities and courses, including sports, handicrafts, music, academic reinforcement, and job market qualification.
The activities are offered in 24 locations throughout the city, directly benefiting around 2,850 people per month. Residents of Betim aged 6 and above are eligible to participate. To enroll, simply visit the nearest location, explore the available opportunities, and choose the one that suits you. Sports classes include disciplines such as soccer, futsal, martial arts, swimming, ballet, Zumba, Pilates, gymnastics, body practices, and recreational activities. All activities within the “CASA Project” are free of charge.
Solange Bottaro, Vice President of the Ramacrisna Institute, emphasizes the project’s importance for the city’s population. “This is a project with a very innovative approach and high social impact in 10 regions of Betim. Serving from children to the elderly, it provides opportunities for various cultural and sports activities, as well as social assistance. It will create expertise, transforming the city’s neighborhoods into a model of socialization, knowledge, diverse experiences, creating an environment rich in culture, sports, and leisure. It has the potential to become a reference for innovation in other cities. We take pride in participating in this important movement,” she says.
