Plans for 2023: discover Ramacrisna’s projects for this year

With a history of over 60 years, Ramacrisna continues to transform lives. The Institute, in 2022 alone, assisted more than 104,000 people in situations of social vulnerability in 13 cities in the metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte. This represented a 200% increase compared to the previous year’s figures.

In all, more than 2 million lives have been transformed by the organization’s actions, through projects in the areas of education, professional training, culture, digital inclusion and leisure. And that’s not all: the Institute is proud to announce its new partnerships for 2023.

Ramacrisna: 64 years of transforming lives

In 2022, Ramacrisna managed to reach expressive numbers: the Institute almost tripled the number of people assisted.

There were 104,170 services provided, involving art, culture, education, digital inclusion, sports, low-cost food and food support activities for families in extreme socioeconomic vulnerability.

At the same time, new service centers were created in the cities of Juatuba and Igarapé, focused on the professionalization of young people and their insertion in the job market, through the Young Apprentice Program.

As they are cities close to industrial centers, these centers are important to make companies aware of the percentage of apprentices among their employees. Currently, the number of students must be at least 5% and at most 15% of existing employees.

This norm is not always complied with by organizations. It is necessary to do a work of valuing and training these young people so that they can be included in these companies.

All of Ramacrisna’s work is focused on transforming lives through empowering people. The goal is to train children and young people so that they can have a new perspective in the future.

Arlindo Corrêa da Silva, founder of Ramacrisna, taught us something very important. “It is only possible to transform a person’s life through education”, this was the teacher’s motto, who understood the power of knowledge to have a more just and equal society.

For 2023, Ramacrisna is proud to announce new partnerships and also the renewal of projects with partner companies. All the work developed is only possible through association with companies and also with the public authorities.

Among the main renewed projects are two with the company Vale S.A, focused on serving children through sport. In addition, the Institute will again have the support of Essencis and also of Usiminas, in projects that value culture, such as the Ramacrisna Young Orchestra.

With the new partnerships, the highlight is the audiovisual course that will be done with Localiza. Professional courses will be available with groups that focus on software such as Autocad.

Ramacrisna is happy to work with many relevant companies in the market and to be a reference in good accountability, managing to expand its services more and more and change the daily lives of many families.

Differentials of the Institute

Ramacrisna is open from Monday to Friday, from 7am to 10pm, serving children, young people and adults. In addition to projects in different areas, the Institute plays an important role as a place of support for families.

For example, children who attend the space remain in the period after school, where snacks and lunch are offered, even during school holidays.

The public served is quite diverse: the Institute’s activities cover the most varied ages, always aiming at discovering a personal talent. Encouraging culture, technology, leisure, knowledge and sport is a differential for young people to discover a possible career or develop a dream.

Some Ramacrisna projects are available for sponsorship. In 2023, we count on your support to continue with our social transformation work. Get in touch with us and learn how to collaborate.
