Find out how your donation makes a difference at Ramacrisna

Did you know that, throughout its 63 years of history, Ramacrisna has already transformed the lives of almost 2 million people? Whether through professionalization, education, culture, sport or digital inclusion projects, residents of 11 cities in the Metropolitan Region of Belo Horizonte.

All of this happens thanks to the partners who contribute to Ramacrisna, whether through donations, income tax transfers, sponsorship or even buying a product from our fence factory.

Next, find out how your donation is used by Ramacrisna.

How is your donation used at the Instituto Ramacrisna?

For you to have an idea, in 2022 alone, 12 projects were approved for execution, including professionalization of young people in compliance with Socio-Educational Measures, digital inclusion for girls, professional courses in advanced technology, sports activities such as judo, chess, futsal, volleyball , shuttlecock, and dance and music lessons. That is, these activities underwent an internal assessment of feasibility, infrastructure, demand and social return. And, after a positive perception about them, it is possible to put them into practice.

These partnerships help acquire materials for each type of activity, hire instructors and even invest in building or adapting new spaces that can house students. In addition, students receive a uniform, educational material and meals during their stay at Ramacrisna.

And although the Institute invests in self-sustainability actions, it needs other forms of collection to be able to assume the financial commitments in carrying out the projects.

For example, the Net Girls project alone had an estimated value of almost BRL 200,000 for activities in 2022. These actions include chess, robotics, introduction to programming and development workshops, creation of a smartphone application and presentations of female models outstanding in leadership positions in the area of technology.

The proposal is that 278 children and young people between 6 and 29 years of age in socially vulnerable situations be assisted by Net Girls. To fund the project, Ramacrisna received donations through Criança Esperança, an initiative by TV Globo in partnership with UNESCO. It was these contributions that allowed, last year alone, 74 girls to enter the world of programming through four groups that concluded the course.

All amounts collected and used are detailed in our accountability, which is opened and made available on our website, in the transparency tab. This is because Ramacrisna believes that partnerships are more lasting when everyone involved can see the result of their actions.

In addition to the projects, there are fixed costs for maintaining the Institute, such as payment for electricity, water, maintenance of classrooms, sports and common areas. As well as hiring administrative staff. All of this is also funded by donations and transfers.

Shall we continue our partnership?

Some projects are available for sponsorship and due to the non-formalization of partnerships, they could not be implemented.

For that to change in 2023, we need you to keep supporting us. And if you are not yet one of our partners, get to know our projects and learn how to help us.
